Come to one of our expertly run beekeeping courses held on a the rooftop of the beautiful East London Mosque in London E1. Ideally located in the city, close to two Underground stations and easy to travel to. This course will teach all the theory and practical required to manage your own colony of bees throughout the year on ground level or on a rooftop. We have been teaching beekeeping for a number of years and have to date taught over 200 students. The best information is from our past students so have a read of what they say here – Review by Past Students
The course will emphasis on practical skills, as beekeeping is a very hands on skill and the more time you spend in the hive the better.
After the course there is the option of buying your own locally reared honey bees if you have a suitable location and have decided to take up the craft. These are reared by us from our best stocks and will be similar to the bees we use as part of the training. Details of the bees can be found here – Buy bees
As well as teaching we have been heavily involved in the creation of courses for our local beekeeping association, give regular beekeeping talks, rear local queens, and provide guidance to more experienced beekeepers
Some of the Items we will teach include
-What to look for during inspections -How to handle a colony of bees -Swarm management techniques -How to position your colony safely and is your site suitable -Costs and time involved -Equipment required -Honey Extraction methods -Honeybee Health
