  • The UK honey bee colonies we rear are gentle, hardworking, thrifty in the use of stores and manage very well in our climate.
  • All nuc colonies for sale contain an overwintered queen from tried and tested stock. The queens are open mated to provide the genetic diversity required for strong adapted colonies.
  • All UK reared nucleus colonies will have the current years queen,  brood in all stages as well as adequate stores

We will have a very limited number of overwintered national nucleus colonies.  These are last years queens which are from proven stock and good honey producers.  These are recommended for those with a bit more experience as will likely want to swarm this year (ideal for expansion) and will be at their strongest this year so will need to be ready for the honey flows.

All our nucleus colonies come as a five frame nucleus on National frames, this is provided in a sturdy reusable correx travelling box and is included as part of the package.
